Handmade in Nepal.
The five Buddhas; Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi are five “self-born” celestial buddhas who have always existed from the beginning of time. The five eternal Buddhas are correlated to other groups of five, so that the entire cosmos is seen as divided between them and as emanating from them and each represents one of the five skandhas, or mental and physical aggregates that make up the whole of cosmic as well as individual existence.
The five Buddhas are hand printed on handmade lokta paper. Lokta paper, known as rice paper, is made from the bark of Daphne Papyracea in Nepal. These plants are found in the forest of the Himalayas between the altitudes of 6500 ft to 9500 ft.
