Tibetan Gift Boxes

A gift does not begin when it is opened, but at first sight. In the moment you hold it in your hands and sense that someone has given thought not only to what is inside but also to what holds it. Wrapped in silk brocade, the wrapping itself becomes a gift before it is even opened.

Our selection includes round gift boxes in silk brocade and gift pouches in brocade and fabric, in various colours and patterns, some with the double dorje. In Tibetan culture, silk brocade has been used for centuries for festive occasions and sacred objects, for example to frame thangkas. The pouches and boxes are handcrafted by Tibetan artisans in the Himalayas, so no two are exactly alike.
