A milestone birthday, a wedding, a graduation or an anniversary: some moments call for a gift that is more than an object. Tibetan pieces carry a story that is older than the moment of giving, and a meaning that lasts.
For a milestone birthday, a statue of White Tara, who stands for a long life in the Tibetan tradition, or of Tsepakme, the Buddha of long life, is a fitting choice. For a wedding, pieces with the endless knot, the symbol of connection, or the double dorje, the symbol of constancy, are especially meaningful. For a graduation or a promotion, Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom, makes a fitting gift as a statue or thangka. A scarf of wool, silk or cotton, or a piece of jewellery, is a personal gift for any occasion.
The statues, thangkas, scarves and hand-painted wooden wall hangings are handcrafted by Tibetan artisans in the Himalayas, so no two are exactly alike. Some statues are gilded; on others, an artist paints the face by hand with gold, and sometimes the body with colour. We are happy to advise you personally in our shop in Zurich or by message.
