What sets Tibetan jewellery apart from everything else?

This question can be answered in a single word: meaning. Tibetan jewellery was never designed as decoration alone. It was worn to protect. To remind. To make a connection with something larger that goes beyond the visible. A bracelet with turquoise is not a fashion accessory. It is a protective stone, worn in Tibet for thousands of years. A necklace with Om Mani Padme Hum is not simply a piece of jewellery. It is a mantra carried on the body.

This dimension makes Tibetan jewellery something that does not age. Fashions come and go. A well-made Tibetan bracelet with coral and turquoise will look as timeless in ten years as it does today. Over time it develops a patina, a character, a history. It becomes more personal, not less.

The artisans who make our pieces work in small workshops in Nepal and the Himalayas. Every piece is made by hand, the stones chosen carefully and set one by one. No piece is exactly like another. That irregularity is not a fault. It is the evidence of the human hand that made the piece.

Alongside jewellery, this category also holds Tibetan clothing: jackets, waistcoats and robes in natural materials, made in a tradition that understands warmth and dignity in equal measure. Along with small accessories and gift boxes in silk brocade and wood that bring a piece of Tibetan culture into everyday life.

We are Tibetans ourselves. The jewellery we offer is jewellery we have known since childhood. Some pieces we wear ourselves. Whatever hangs or lies in our shop, we have held in our hands and chosen personally.
